Jeff Cleveringa

Jeff is the chair of the Technology Committee and has been on both the cherry and apple breeding program advisory groups for several years.

Jeff was born in Sunnyside, WA and grew up on a family farm in Prosser where his family still farms today.  He graduated from Sunnyside Christian High School; attended Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science.

After college Jeff worked for Simplot Grower Solutions as a horticulturist in Quincy, WA, then moved to Starr Ranch Growers (Custom Apple Packers) as a horticulturist working with growers.  He left Starr Ranch for a few years to work at Cave B managing farming operations, assisting in wine making, and overseeing various aspects of construction.  He later returned to Starr Ranch Growers in Research and Development.

Jeff is married to Tami and raises three active kids, Kenton, Caleb, and Karissa. Jeff has always loved sports and coaches youth soccer and basketball.  He loves spending time with the family waterskiing and attending his children’s sporting events.  He also enjoys hunting and fishing.
