CURRENT REQUESTS FOR PREPROPOSALS:  CHERRY AND TECHNOLOGY

REQUEST FOR PREPROPOSALS - CHERRY

The Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission in cooperation with the Oregon Sweet Cherry Commission is accepting pre-proposals for new funding consideration for the NW Cherry Research Review.  The meeting will be held November 12 at the Confluence Technology Center in Wenatchee.

All pre-proposals must be submitted using the prepoposal form which is this on this website:  https://treefruitresearch.com/proposals-reports/pre-proposal-instructions

Review the instructions, complete the pre-proposal form and submit by the deadline date. Pre-proposal submissions will be compiled, given an anonymous identifier and distributed to the committees and commissioners for review and ranking. (Note: pre-proposal submissions are for new proposals only. Continuing and final reports do not require pre-proposal submission.) 

The Oregon and WA cherry committees have updated their research priority list for 2020.  The link can be accessed below. Committee members will take this list into consideration when ranking pre-proposals.

Here are important deadlines to remember:

  1. Pre-proposals submission: September 9 – 5:00pm PST
  2. Prepoposal notification:  September 26
  3. Submission of approved proposals, continuing & final reports: October 21– 5:00pm PST
  4. PowerPoint show submission: November 7 - 5:00pm PST

REQUEST FOR PREPROPOSALS - Technology

The Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission  is accepting pre-proposals for new funding consideration for the Technology Research Review.  The meeting will be held February 4 at the Wanapum Dam Visitor's Center in Beverly.

All pre-proposals must be submitted using the preproposal form which is this on this website:  https://treefruitresearch.com/proposals-reports/pre-proposal-instructions

Review the instructions, complete the pre-proposal form and submit by the deadline date. Pre-proposal submissions will be compiled, given an anonymous identifier and distributed to the committees and commissioners for review and ranking. (Note: pre-proposal submissions are for new proposals only. Continuing and final reports do not require pre-proposal submission.) 

At this time, there is no priority list for technology research.

  2. Preproposal notification:  November 22
  3. Submission of approved proposals, continuing & final reports: January 14– 5:00pm PST
  4. PowerPoint show submission: January 31 - 5:00pm PM

    We are posting the technology RFP far in advance of the meeting in case there are submissions that would be best heard in other committees such as cherry or apple.  If we make that determination, we will notify you of our decision.
