A sensitive indicator of Honeycrisp fruit N status for maximal quality

Summary: The objectives of this project are 1) to determine how asparagine and other free amino acids in Honeycrisp fruit respond to N supply and relate the levels of free amino acids to fruit N status and fruit quality and 2) establish the optimal range of fruit N status expressed as asparagine level, with the goal of developing a sensitive indicator of Honeycrisp fruit N status for maximal quality.
