Summary: This projects's objectives were to 1) Survey noctuids found in orchards throughout Washington identifying the most common species present and host plants they utilize, 2. Develop a predictive model for L. subjuncta that will predict the presence of specific life stages during the growing season, 3. Develop chemical control tactics that will successfully suppress L. subjuncta and other climbing cutworm species that threaten fruit crops, and 4. Develop monitoring methods specifically for L. subjuncta based on larval and adult behavior.
