Crop load and canopy management of apple

Summary: This projects objectives were: 1) Continue screening PGRs, chemical thinners, and mechanized thinning technologies for apple 2) Refine practical PGR programs to manipulate floral initiation and promote annual bearing 3) Document horticultural effects of synthetic materials deployed as reflective ground covers or overhead shade/wind/bird protection 4) Expand collaborative efforts with other research programs working on crop load canopy management
