Summary: This projects objectives were: 1) Determine the fate of the glyphosate after application without a significant recent glyphosate use history in apple production systems, including fate of glyphosate absorbed through the bark. 2) Identify optimum conditions for microbial degradation to mitigate soil adsorption of glyphosate in inland Pacfic Northwest orchards, and characterize shifts in bacterial and fungal communities in the soil.
