Greater system efficiency and fruit quality via soil microbiology

Summary: The objective of this program was to obtain insight into the role of soil microbiology on resource utilization within orchard systems and to determine potential impacts of fertility management programs on the function of soil biology. The resulting effects of fertility inputs on tree growth, with particular emphasis on root development, and orchard production were also to be examined.
