Harvest and postharvest practices for optimum quality

Summary: The objectives of this project were: 1. Identify additional indicators of physiological and/or horticultural maturity that are indicative of storability. 2. Identify protocols for 1-MCP use that ensure predictable ripening. 3. Characterize how pear fruit ripening and development of disorders are impacted by prolonged storage at the low O2 limit.
