Health role of pear for Metabolic Syndrome

Summary: The central hypothesis of this study was that daily consumption of 2 pears (medium sized Green Bartlett and/or Green Anjou pears weighing 166g each) for twelve weeks would improve blood pressure, lipid profiles, glycemic control and insulin resistance, inflammatory and oxidative status in men and women with MetS.
