Novel control of Codling Moth with RNA interference

Summary: Objective 1. Identify candidate target genes for RNAi through transcriptomic analyses. Objective 2. Conduct larval feeding bioassays with RNAi effectors combined with various feeding stimulators to optimize potential deliverables. Objective 3. Perform controlled laboratory and field trials on efficacy of RNAi in neonate larvae towards preventing codling moth damage in apples.
