Summary: The objective of this project was: 1 To test the effects of soluble potassium silicate on cherry fruit quality paramters • This research project had a main objective to control fruit splitting in 2007 (Priority 4). • The research emphasis was changed by the WTFRC to that of fruit firmness. • This research identified the effect of silicon on postharvest fruit quality (Priority 1).
