Spotted wing drosophila management in stone fruit

Summary: SWD showed little tendency to attack uninjured nectarines up to and during harvest. Different trap types and densities yielded inconclusive results, but a threshold is unnecessary if no damage occurs. Flies contaminated with brown rot transferred the pathogen to fruit in the laboratory, with no evidence to support field transmission.
