Perry is the representative for Director Sandison at the Washington State Department of Agriculture.
Perry graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Agronomy and has experience working at a large apple and cherry orchard in Central WA. Perry manages the WSDA Natural Resources Assessment Section (NRAS), the ag science program located in the Director’s Office and has been with this program since its inception in 2002. The focus of NRAS is to provide state specific science to support Washington agriculture and protect natural resources. Perry has visually surveyed and mapped all orchards in the state of Washington using GIS technology.
Perry was raised on a wheat and cattle ranch in southeastern Washington and is the co-owner and Vice-President of the family farm. Perry is also a graduate of the Ag Forestry Leadership program.
